UNPAID WAGES

MINIMUM WAGES    UNAUTHORIZED DEDUCTIONS     BOUNCED PAYCHECK

Your employer must maintain regular pay intervals (at least once every 35 days) and pay you a "minimum wage."  The amount of the minimum wage varies by locality (between $11.00/hour and $12.50/hour).

If your employer does not pay you at least the minimum wage amount, you have a claim against your employer for unpaid wages.  You could be owed back pay and interest.

      - It is against the law for your employer to retaliate against you for

making a claim for unpaid wages.

If your employer issues a dishonored ("bounced") check to you, you may have a claim against your employer that includes a penalty, plus interest on the bounced check amount.

Your employer may not make unauthorized deductions from your paycheck.  If your employer does so, they are violating Oregon law

If your employer does not pay you overtime, he or she could face civil penalties, and may have to pay your attorney's fees if you are forced to sue to collect your pay!

Your employer may not exclude you from overtime by paying you a salary and calling you a "vice president" or giving you some other fancy title.

WE WILL HELP YOU DRAFT THE PROPER NOTICES TO TRY TO GET YOU PAID NOW!

AND IF YOUR FORMER EMPLOYER STILL WON'T PAY YOU, WE WILL HELP YOU GET ALL OF YOUR OWED WAGES, PLUS ATTORNEY'S FEES AND OTHER CIVIL PENALTIES
