What To Do When Your Lawyer Doesn't Help You
Sometimes attorneys make mistakes. They may miss deadlines, misinterpret the law, or give you bad legal advice. This is called "legal malpractice" and it is something you can take action on. If you were represented by an attorney who did - or failed to do - something that negatively impacted your civil claim or case, you may have recourse to recover the damages that you were caused or that you missed out on because of your attorney's negligence.
